Frequently Asked Questions

How is AIHRF structured and registered?

AIHRF is registered in South Africa as a Non-Profit Company (NPC Registration No: 2024/097486/08). We operate under strict governance, bridging academic research with community development.

Is my corporate contribution B-BBEE and CSI eligible?

Yes. Because 100% of our programs directly benefit black South African community members in rural villages, corporate sponsorships qualify fully for Socio-Economic Development (SED) points under B-BBEE. We provide a B-BBEE affidavit or verification letter.

Do you issue Section 18A tax certificates?

Yes. AIHRF is registered for tax-exempt status. Qualifying donations receive a Section 18A Tax Certificate, allowing individuals and companies to deduct donations from their taxable income in South Africa.

How does AIHRF work with traditional healers and rural villages?

We hold community workshops, respect local hierarchies (such as Vhavenda traditional councils in Limpopo), and document ethnobotanical practices with full prior informed consent. We protect intellectual property and share benefits transparently.

Can academic institutions or international labs partner with you?

Yes, we actively seek global research partners. We collaborate on molecular pharmacology, plant chemistry, and clinical research. Email info@aihrf.co.za to discuss collaboration.
